At
this point the rapid flow of the Mellte slows as it emerges from the
ground and the constriction of rock banks, and flows out into a wide pool
before continuing downstream. Photographing from this point means the
foreground is in fairly deep shadow while the more distant trees and river
are brightly lit by the sun. Two exposures were used to cope with the contrast range and extent the
vertical angle
