This image started as straight shot which had some interesting contrasting textural elements of angular cliff strata and rounded boulders. Experimenting in Photoshop I duplicated the image and reversed it and the rock 'face' appeared. The final image here was converted to a quadtone to bring out the full range of tones and textures.
