Mud I

On the seaward side of the Cardiff Bay barrage the mud flats are scoured by the huge tidal range of the Bristol Channel. This is one of a series of texture studies captured over the course of half an hour while the low angled sun of the winter solstice highlighted the shining surfaces and fissures in the silt.
